A project is temporary work with a start, an end and a specific result, such as a new system, an office move or a migration. Project management keeps it on track: clear goals, a realistic plan, the right people, managed risks, and regular decisions when things change.
Key ideasKonsep kunci
- Clear objectives and scope. Everyone should agree what "done" looks like, and what is out of scope.
- Choose the approach. Predictive (plan-driven) for stable, well-understood work; agile for work where needs evolve.
- Manage risks and issues actively. Review them every week, not only at the start.
- Stakeholders and decisions. A sponsor who makes timely decisions keeps the project moving.
- Plan the handover. Operations and support must be ready before the project closes.

Real-world example: a school information system projectContoh kasus: proyek sistem informasi sekolah3 min3 menit
A foundation running 12 schools starts a project for a new school information system. Halfway through, scope keeps growing because every school asks for different features, and the deadline slips twice.
A new sponsor agrees a core scope for all schools, moves extras to a second phase, and switches to two-week iterations with a pilot school. The IT support team joins from the pilot onwards. The core system goes live for the new school year.
Tim support TI ikut terlibat sejak uji coba. Sistem inti go-live tepat untuk tahun ajaran baru.
